It’s good to get out and have new experiences. It keeps us on our toes and breaks up the occasional monotony of every day life.
As we get it older it seems like ‘new experiences’ are few and far between. Now in my mid-30’s, it didn’t seem like a parade would fit the bill as a new experience. After all, I have probably seen HUNDREDS of parades since I was a kid so why would these be any different?
Last month, for the first time, I was actually IN two parades; not a spectator as I’ve been so many times before. It’s crazy how a different perspective on the same event can change your experience! On consecutive days we participated in the Heimatfest parade in Jordan and Steamboat Days in Carver. They were CRAZY!!!
I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen so many people so happy and excited for community events. As a parade-goer you just see everyone around you, but as a participant you literally get to see everyone. A wonderful new perspective.
Thanks to everyone who helped us and everyone who smiled and yelled words of encouragement. As a new business your support means the world to us. And yes, next year we will have more toothbrushes!
