I am a self-admitted perfectionist. I have a hard time seeing the 99% of successes and often times focus on the 1% of things I could be or should be doing better. This trait has led to much success, but can also be a burden for my team and family.
In the first few months we were open I was CONSTANTLY changing things, trying to find the absolute BEST way to do it. Easier, faster, higher in quality, and lower in cost. Some of them worked, some of them didn’t, and sometimes we went back to the way we were doing things before!
No matter how hard we try, we’ll never be perfect. A goal that we’re always chasing but will never achieve. ‘To err is human’ as they say. As much as I hate accepting that I’ve learned it’s ok. Every day I give my absolute 100% best and that’s all I can do.
